Global Communion Service

Last year, the North American Convention of the Church of God celebrated Global Communion for the fourth year in a row. The Holy Spirit moved in a powerful way as congregations from all over the world ate of the bread and drank of the cup at exactly the same time.
The Global Communion experience continues to support a groundswell of excitement in the North American church and around the world. Powerful times of worship and prayer preceded that precise moment when our brothers and sisters from around the world simultaneously celebrated the death and resurrection of Christ.
In North America, congregations shared this act of unity; some groups gathered with local churches of other faith backgrounds to share in worship. In some countries, the difference in time zones meant that believers met in the middle of the night, while others gathered on Sunday evening and worshiped and prayed together for several hours prior to taking Communion. It was an experience of unity on the grandest of scales that yielded praise reports and compelling testimonies from the churches that participated.
Great news! We’re going to do it again! And it’s going to be bigger and better. If you missed the experience last year, mark your calendars today to join the global Communion service this year on Sunday, June 23, at 7:30 PM EDT. Register for the Global Gathering (June 22–25) at www.chog.org/globalgathering and celebrate Communion with thousands of congregations together in one place during Sunday evening’s worship service. The anticipation is building for the Global Communion service during the Global Gathering.
