2007 CBH Retreat: Renewal at The Cove
Church of God Ministries, CBH: Christians Broadcasting Hope

The recent 2007 Christians Broadcasting Hope Retreat to The Cove, located at the Billy Graham Training Center in Asheville, North Carolina, was an absolutely wonderful time of renewal and fellowship with friends. Hosted by ViewPoint host Jim Lyon, this annual retreat brings people from across the United States together at the warm and friendly environment of The Cove. Each year, CBH sponsors this event as a way for CBH listeners to get away and have no other agenda except that of experiencing the presence of God in a way that will renew and rejuvenate them so that they can return home ready to once again dive back into life with a fresh perspective. Life is so busy that we seldom take time away to simply be renewed. This is a time for just that.
This year’s retreat featured Dr. Steven Arterburn as special guest speaker. He spoke from his new book titled Reframing Your Life: Transforming Your Pain into Purpose. His masterful communication style had us laughing one minute and crying the next as he taught about the Triple Crown and the Quadruple Bypass of why we don’t experience all that God wants us to experience. Along with worship leader Chuck Myrics, longtime CBH supporters Paul and Rita Jo Yerden and Don and Maxine McCall, and conference leaders Maureen Lyon and Ann Smith, this year’s Retreat to the Cove was a very special experience.
