Lake Wales, FL – Construction is underway on the new 49,000 square foot Academic Building at Warner Southern College. This facility will house Bible and Church Ministry, Communication Arts, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Teacher Education, Institutional Technology Services and the Office of the Executive Vice President. The building will have classrooms, computer laboratories, science laboratories, faculty offices and common areas. Two lecture halls and seminar classrooms will be connected by a covered arcade and accessible from either level. Architects are Lunz, Prebor, Fowler of Lakeland and construction by Semco, Inc. of Bartow.

 The Academic Building project is another step toward the long-range goal to move all facilities to the west campus and is of paramount importance to provide added space and technological capabilities to support innovative programs. A ground breaking ceremony was held on March 18.
