Unity Through Christ as Experienced at the Table
Church of God Ministries, Church of God - General, Global Missions

The excitement and anticipation continues to build as we prepare to celebrate and worship our Lord in the first-ever Global Communion Service of the Church of God, Sunday, June 22, 7:00–9:00 pm (EDT). Tens of thousands of people from around the world have signed up to participate. Hundreds of churches from across North American and more than twenty-five other countries will all join together to take the bread and the cup as we celebrate unity.

This special service is part of the North American Convention of the Church of God held in Anderson, Indiana, and will be hosted by Rev. James Lyon and Rev. Robert Davis, Jr. Some of the service highlights include:

  • Video greetings from CBH speakers from around the world
  • Live and taped interviews from various locations and congregations that are participating in the Global Communion Service
  • The Akron Choir and Worship Team lead by Leslie Barnes and Charles Myricks
  • Special guest appearances
  • Uplifting and inspiring music and choral selections

Partaking of the elements of Communion will begin after 8:15 pm. The elements of Communion (bread and cup) will be distributed to those in attendance during the service. This will provide time for those hosting their own service to do likewise.

This special time of worship and celebration will close as Sandi Patty leads in the singing of the Lord’s Prayer.
