Warner Pacific College Restructures Tuition

Portland, OR—Warner Pacific College has announced a bold tuition restructuring plan which will significantly improve student access to its high-quality, private education. Tuition and fees for incoming traditional undergraduate students in 2008–2009 will be $16,630—23 percent lower than in 2007–2008 and 37 percent lower than the $26,249 average cost of tuition and fees for four-year, private colleges and universities in Oregon and Washington in 2007–2008.1

Anderson Students Clock Record Number of Service Hours

Anderson University Students volunteered over 27,000 hours during the 2006-2007 academic year, according to Stuart Erny, director of Campus Ministries. Erny has been working for the last three years to combine the volunteer hours of campus ministries, Tri-S, social clubs and athletics. This growing list is a testament to how students are willing to implement the university’s service mission. This number is only a rough estimate and is likely to be higher due to clubs and organizations on campus that do not submit their hours

Anderson University students add twist to Christmas service project

Anderson University's Student Government Association is adding a new twist to a traditional service project this year. AU students will compete with students from Taylor University and Indiana Wesleyan University to collect the most boxes for Operation Christmas Child, Nov. 5 through Nov. 12.
The winner of the competition will be determined by the number of shoe boxes collected, with the size of the school factored in. The winner will be visited by the losing schools and receive a monetary donation to the local charity of its choice, as well as a golden shoe box as a trophy.

Warner Pacific College joins major library consortium thanks to a $231,000 grant from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust

Warner Pacific College has received a $231,000 grant from the M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust to support its participation in the Orbis Cascade Alliance, a library-resource organization that shares access to 27.8 million items between 35 member institutions in Oregon and Washington, including all major public university libraries. Currently, Warner Pacific is a member of a consortium of eight private college libraries with a collective volume count of 500,000.

This first such unified endowment scholarship recognizes the kind of leaders we wish to help develop in honor of Nathan and Ann Smith. Anderson University dedicates second phase of Seminary Village

Anderson University dedicated the second phase of its York Seminary Village with a ceremony during Homecoming events Saturday.
Three new brick colonial buildings became available to seminary students this academic year, completing the group of apartments located on Walnut Street between Sixth and Seventh streets. The first phase of the village was dedicated in August 2006.
The village’s seven buildings contain 18 apartments for students and their families, as well as a community center with a walkway encircling a central plaza.

Dr. Robert A. Nicholson, president emeritus of Anderson University and Dr. Michael Collette, vice-president for Enrollment Management and Information Systems, helped found the School of Adult Learning (SOAL) in 1987 with the hope that it would support and serve the local community of Anderson and Madison County. “It started out of a commitment to our mission, our community and this area,” said Collette.
