Pastor Laureate Ronald J. Fowler
Pastor Laureate Ronald J. Fowler has served the Arlington Church of God for forty-one years. For three years, he served as Associate Pastor to his late father, the Reverend Robert L. Fowler. He has enjoyed the privilege of serving as Senior Pastor for 38 years.
Pastor Fowler has served on various community and church-related boards throughout his ministry. He served on the Akron Public Schools Board of Education for twelve years. He takes great pleasure in having served over twenty years on the Board of Trustees of Anderson University. He currently serves on the Pension Board of the Church of God.
Pastor Fowler is a graduate of Kent State University (B.S. in Education) and the Anderson University School of Theology (M. Divinity). He has been honored by numerous organizations: the Akron Community Foundation's coveted humanitarian award (The Polsky Award); the University of Akron's Honorary Alumni Award; Kent State University's Social Responsibility Award; and various awards from Anderson University including its Honorary Doctorate. He is currently employed as Special Assistant to the Office of President at Kent State University.
Pastor Fowler is married to Ella LeJoyce Sojourner Fowler. They have three children, four grandchildren and one great grandson.
