Pastor Matt Anderson

Matt Anderson has had a wide and varied experience in local Church of God congregations. He grew up in a church plant, Riverchase South Church, in Birmingham, Alabama, where his father was the senior pastor for 16 years. He attended Anderson University, where he studied Business Administration and Christian Ministries. While a student, Matt interned with Earl Wheatley at North Park Church in Meridian, Mississippi. After graduation, he became the Student Ministry Pastor at Salem Church of God in Dayton, Ohio, working with Rolland Daniels and Joe Cookston.

In January of 2003, Matt joined the staff at Crossings Community Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. After a year in another associate role, Matt was asked to serve as preaching associate to Marty Grubbs. Currently, Matt serves as the lead pastor at McDowell Mountain Community Church in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Matt has been married to Robin Vader Anderson for 13+ years. They have three boys—Connor, Calvin and Charlie. As a family, they love to travel and explore the outdoors and are actively involved in sports almost year round. Their favorite activity, however, is hanging with family and friends around a pool or dinner table.
