It’s hard to imagine anything more spiritually rejuvenating than the body of Christ gathering together to worship the Lord in unity. When God’s people come from near and far, and from all backgrounds and walks of life, there is a unique dynamic that is difficult to match in any other setting. It’s the theme of this year’s convention—Refresh! And it’s all about renewing our efforts toward relational connectivity and identity (John 17:21–22). The Church of God can do more when we work together, and we can get together at NAC, June 22–27, in Anderson, Indiana.
There will be something for everyone at NAC 2012. Do you have children? NAC is kid-friendly. Consider the annual Kid’s Place experience, which has been drawing children back to NAC year after year for spiritual learning and fun! Family Day on Saturday is intentionally designed to promote connectivity in your family and in the family of God!
What about youth? NAC offers Youth-Ins and other special activities planned and orchestrated by Andy Stephenson (director of the life-changing International Youth Convention) and the IYC interns. Over the years, Christian bands such as Sonicflood and the Sidewalk Prophets have graced the stage at NAC youth events.
Are you a pastor or an associate? Conferences of all kinds will be available that intentionally target areas of ministry. Are you in youth ministry? NAC offers what you need! Are you in children’s ministry? NAC offers beneficial conferences for you, as well as an all-day Children’s Ministry Fair on Saturday.
Each day, you’ll hear biblical teaching and preaching from voices across the movement, including,
• Rev. Erin Taylor (Indianapolis, IN)—Saturday, June 23, 7:00 PM,
• Rev. Hector Gonzales (Glendale, AZ)—Sunday, June 24, 7:00 PM,
• Rev. David Aukerman (Midland, MI)—Monday, June 25, 10:30 AM,
• Dr. Diana Swoope (Copley, OH)—Monday , June 25, 7:00 PM,
• Rev. Erik Spohr (Middletown, OH)—Tuesday, June 26, 10:30 AM,
• Rev. Bill Neece (Sumter, SC)—Tuesday, June 26, 7:00 PM, and
• Dr. J. Terry Rolen (Franklin, OH)—Wednesday, June 27, 10:30 AM.
The Event—a special service hosted by Jim Lyon and Chuck Myricks—is planned for Wednesday night. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear moving stories of connection from our Church of God heritage as told through the eyes of some of our most powerful voices from around the world. And each evening, Rev. Rodney Martin (Lexington, KY) will lead energy-infused worship experiences.
Back by popular demand, there will be one central gathering place, featuring food vendors, picnic tables, benches, places to fellowship, exhibitor tents, and more. Church of God books and vendors will be available in the big tent for your convenience. The General Assembly will convene in Reardon Auditorium on Tuesday, June 26, 8:15–10:15 AM and 1:00–3:30 PM, and on Wednesday, June 27, 8:15–10:15 AM.
Plan to attend NAC 2012. You’ll be inspired by dynamic preaching and rejuvenated by powerful worship. You’ll reunite with friends, make new friends, get equipped for effective ministry, dig into God’s Word, connect with people who share common experiences in the Lord’s work, explore missions opportunities, and celebrate what God is doing around the world.
NAC 2012 is June 22–27, in Anderson, Indiana. To register and discover what NAC 2012 will offer you and your congregation, visit www.chog.org/NAC.
