Rev. Dr. Ronald V. Duncan
Since 2002, Dr. Ronald Duncan has served as general director of
Church of God Ministries in Anderson, Indiana. Prior to this assignment,
he dedicated 36 years of service to churches in the role of senior
pastor or associate pastor in the Midwest and Texas, including Park
Place Church of God and Garfield Park Church of God in Indiana, First
Church of God in Mansfield, Ohio, and Southmore Church of God in
Pasadena, Texas, where he was named “Pastor of the Year” in 1997.
In addition to serving the local church, Dr. Duncan has served in the leadership of the Church of God movement as vice chair to the General Assembly of the Church of God and as an ex officio member of the Ministries Council.
His long history of ministry includes honorable service to his country. As a chaplain of both the Indiana National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve, Dr. Duncan dedicated 25 years to encouraging and supporting our young men and women in the military. He is highly decorated officer, having received fifteen medals and earned the rank of colonel prior to his retirement. Among his many military honors are the Legion of Merit with one oak leaf cluster and the National Defense Service Medal with a Bronze Star.
Dr. Duncan is an accomplished teacher and scholar. A graduate of Anderson University, he went on to earn a master of divinity degree from Ashland Theological Seminary, as well as a master of religious education degree and a doctor of ministry degree from Christian Theological Seminary. He received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Anderson University in 2007 and received special recognition by the Wesleyan Theological Society in 2009.
Dr. Duncan and Martha, his wife of 45 years, have three children and six grandchildren. As a family, they enjoy golf, travel, and time together.
