Focus 40: God's Vision in Focus!

How often does it seem that we can’t see clearly what God is up to? How many times do we desire to see the big picture during life’s unexpected twists and turns? Since God may not always allow us to see the big picture, we must move forward by faith. But perhaps we do need to sharpen our focus to clearly see God’s mission, and enthusiastically jump on board. From February 29–April 8, Church of God congregations around the world will participate in an intentional effort to see God’s mission more clearly and realize spiritual impact. For forty days leading up to Easter, the Church of God will emphasize the call of the church to evangelism, as individuals deliberately spend time in prayer and fasting.

Salve for the Body and Soul

A recent rabies outbreak in Ecuador has claimed the lives of at least a dozen children, and more than fifty locals have been hospitalized with grim prospects. Jon and Karen Lambert, your missionaries to Ecuador, have reported on the ongoing crisis, and have rallied the body of Christ to lift up this region in prayer. They tell of a certain young doctor, who gave his heart to the Lord at the Zabala Church of God. Through Danny’s ministry, the light of Christ has shone, diseased bodies have received medical care, and souls have been saved.
