AUSOT Hosts Dialogue on Creation
Church of God Ministries, Church of God - General, Colleges and Universities

|
By David Neidert
The Doctrinal Dialogue, hosted by Anderson University School of Theology, was initiated to help the Church of God consider important topics in the life of its congregations and the wider Christian community. This format, suggested by Dr. Ronald Duncan, provides for original scholarly research and discussion of topics as gleaned from the voice of the church. The Dialogue has previously covered the topics of eschatology, sanctification, eternal security, phenomena of the Spirit, and Christian unity.
This year’s topic is creation, chosen because of the ongoing debate between faith and science over biblical narrative. This year’s presenter on creation is Dr. James Christoph, dean of the School of Ministry and of Arts and Science at Warner Southern College. He is also adjunct professor at Anderson University School of Theology. Scholars responding to his research will be Dr. Kimberly Lyle-Ippolito, professor of biology at Anderson University, and Rev. John Birch, PhD candidate at the University of Dayton. The Dialogue will be held in Byrum Hall on Monday, June 23, from 1:30 to 3:00 pm.
Papers, both current and previous, are available on the seminary Web site at www.anderson.edu/sot.
